Marketing Communications Manager

Cindy has worked in the Marketing department at Ideal CU since 1995 and currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Ideal CU Community Foundation. She worked as a broadcast and print journalist prior to pursuing a career in public relations and marketing. Cindy has a passion for wine, painting, political advocacy and the Denver Broncos. She enjoys blogging about wine and visiting local wineries, power walking, watching Shark Tank and Netflix. Cindy is a member of the Minnesota Grape Growers Association (MGGA), the Southern MN Wine Grower Alliance (SMWGA) and is a strong advocate for cold climate wines produced in Minnesota and the upper midwest. She holds a Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) Level 1 Certification in Wines and is a certified server.

Ideal CU Raises $2,500 for Second Harvest Heartland Hunger Relief Efforts

(Woodbury, MN – August 31, 2020) – With demand for food assistance rising to historic levels in our local communities, Ideal Credit Union rallied its employees to raise funds for Second Harvest Heartland’s ongoing hunger relief efforts, resulting in $606 from staff and another $175 on Ideal’s Facebook page from members. Ideal CU’s Board of Directors sweetened the pot by offering to match 100% of the cash raised up to $2,500. In total, a check for $2,500 was sent to Second Harvest to support its mission to end hunger through community partnerships and make families and communities whole again.

Ideal CU Gives Over $9,750 in Cash Prizes & Donations During Virtual Community Appreciation Events

(Woodbury MN – August 28, 2020) With safety in mind, Ideal Credit Union turned its annual Member/Community Appreciation event into a two-week virtual celebration that increased participation and enabled attendees to follow along online and on social media. Ideal saw an 89% increase in adult registrants from 35 states and a 52% increase in youth registrants from 7 states enroll online for chance to win cash prizes. Ideal gave away ten $500 grand prizes, five $250 grand prizes and ten $50 Bucky Bear youth prizes. Overall, Ideal gave away $6,750 to 25 lucky winners, and donated another $3,000 to local area food shelves in the communities the credit union serves.
