Membership eligibility
Anyone can become a member of Ideal Credit Union. Meet one of the two criteria below to be eligible:
- Live, work, worship, attend school or volunteer in Anoka, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Isanti, Pierce, Ramsey, Saint Croix, Scott, Sherburne, Washington or Wright counties.
- OR make a one-time $5.00 donation to the John D. Miller Foundation. Your donation is made automatically during the account opening process.
The John D. Miller Foundation was created by a group of Postmasters who felt the importance of education. With this need, they began the fund by joining forces with the St. Paul Postal Employees Credit Union, now Ideal Credit Union. Since 1980, they have awarded over $350,000.00 to deserving students from Western Wisconsin and Eastern Minnesota.
