Geneva is the Marketing & Events Coordinator at Ideal Credit Union. She has been an employee for Ideal CU for more than 20 years. Her key role is to connect with members in the community about Ideal CU through different platforms.

Some of Geneva’s hobbies include finding recipesand testing them out for her family, watching her three children play ALL the sports, and of course binge watching her favorite shows.

MN Brain Tumor 5K Breaks Half Million Dollar Milestone for Total Fundraising

(Woodbury, MN – June 29, 2017) The 2017 MN Brain Tumor 5K, sponsored by Ideal Credit Union and the Ideal Community Foundation, hit a new milestone this year, breaking the half-million dollar mark for total fundraising since its inception in 2010. To date, the annual event has raised $541,397 for brain tumor research. All proceeds benefit the Musella Foundation for Brain Tumor Research & Information, Inc.

Feeding our hungry neighbors

My grandfather was chairman of a small town in northern Wisconsin back in the 1960s. Among his regular duties was to deliver federally-issued commodities once a month to families in need. I remember seeing boxes of powdered milk, cheese, peanut butter, flour, sugar and other staples neatly packed in the back of grandpa’s truck, ready to be dropped off. In the summer, I liked to tag along to help. I will never forget the look of gratitude on the recipient’s face as we handed them the supplies.
