(Woodbury, MN – February 2, 2018) Ideal Credit Union has announced the promotion of Emily Kelly to Vice President of Talent and Administration. Kelly joined the Ideal team in 1993 as a teller through the credit union’s OJT (On the Job Training) program with Tartan High School, which is now home to the Ideal CU Student Credit Union. She has also worked in the Contact Center and loan areas. Prior to her promotion she served as Director of Training and Development.

My grandfather was chairman of a small town in northern Wisconsin back in the 1960s. Among his regular duties was to deliver federally-issued commodities once a month to families in need. I remember seeing boxes of powdered milk, cheese, peanut butter, flour, sugar and other staples neatly packed in the back of grandpa’s truck, ready to be dropped off. In the summer, I liked to tag along to help. I will never forget the look of gratitude on the recipient’s face as we handed them the supplies.

Constantly at school I hear about potential employers and faculty explaining just how important resume builders are during the college years. So during my freshman year I decided to check it out and see what exactly is out there; and explore the benefits for students.
