Woodbury, MN. March 14, 2025 – Ideal Credit Union is proud to announce member Emily Anderson has won a $1,000 scholarship from The Minnesota Credit Union Foundation Scholarship Council (FSC). Anderson was one of 18 post-secondary students selected from hundreds of applicants to receive a scholarship for the 2024-2025 school year.

As part of the scholarship application process, all students were required to submit an essay on personal growth. Anderson’s winning essay reflected on the positive impact art and creativity have had on her life, writing, 'I didn’t always realize the impact of art on my life. It’s not just a hobby or a skill. This gift has shaped my life and given me purpose.'

With the help of the FSC scholarship, Anderson, a Woodbury native, plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Stout in fall 2025. Ideal Credit Union is a committed supporter of the FSC scholarship program. Ideal works to create awareness among members about the opportunities to earn educational scholarships.
